Well at drugstores or department stores, there should be places for makeup, and near those aisle, there should be makeup brushes. I like the New York Color (NYC) brushes, $2 for a 5-set kit!

Try the sigma brushes..i heard they would make good duplicates for the mac brushes..they have the face brushes, and the eye brushes too..you can buy these in a set and i think they cost around $40, and they sell them individually too.

NYX.com, Sonia Kushik at Target, and it's an organic brand at CVS that has really good affordable brushes.
Michael's..they have the best ARTIST paintng brushes and thats what real makeup artists use. They are the same if not higher quality then MAC. If you can't get to your local Michael's try www.crownbrush.com thats where all the major cosmetics lines get their brushes and put their logo on them. Their is also www.elfcosmetics.com they have great brushes at cheap prices. And lastly try ebay if you know the exact type of brushes you want.Everything I listed the brushes are 10 bux and less usually depending on what your looking for. Hope that helps!
