im 16 i don't have a lot of money either but i get all my make up from elf. eyeslipsface.com the best make up site ive been to and the best long lasting makeup ive used. everything is only a dollar. its infused with minerals and green tea to help refine your skin it work great and a little bit goes a long way. i would totallly recommend this to anyone its just as good as mac make up. they have everything on that site so please visit i think you'll like it.I'm 14. I don't have tons of money but I need cheap make-up that look fairly expensive. Any suggestions?
Rimmell is good
Bonne Bell is a good inexpensive brand thats age appropriate.
I would use some light powder(combats oils), a bit of eyeshadow, mascara, and lip gloss or chapstick. That's it!

I live right by a Walgreen's, so I can walk over there all the time. They have tons of stuff! But take your time! Pick neutral shades, and spend a little bit more on those than the trendy, 'in' shades (you probably wont use it too much). Spend wisely! Also, if you have the money, invest in a good concealer, go to a makeup counter (like Estee Lauder). There, they will match you. A tube of concealer is about 20 bucks but it lasts forever, and is MUCH much easier than trying to match yourself. That way you can cover acne flawlessy, rather than having tinted areas on your skin-- yucky. Hope I helped!
Most makeup can't look expensive. Just stay away from like kid brands (disney) Also bright colors look tacky.
almay products are awesome, they are good

for your skin, and they are very inexpensive

If you see a ';look' in a magazine you want to copy,

you can pretty much match the colors with the cheaper

brands, a lot of the lipsticks are the same colors and

formulas, they are just packaged differently.....
At 14 years old, you dont need heavy make up. I would suggest going to a department store where a consultant can give you free tips.

At walmart Rimmel of London has very reasonable prices on makeup. As far as eyeshadows, and blusher go, you can go cheap. If you were to spend money on anything, spend the most on a good foundation.

At your age heavy makeup isnt a good idea. I hope you arent using it to try and look older, as you will be an adult soon enough.

At your age I wore foundation, blush and eyeshadow and maybe a bit of gloss. If I wore eyeliner it wasnt very thick.

So inexpensive brands are bonne belle, nyc, and rimmel. You might also check in your department stores nearby. Many stores have special gift sets with a purchase, so youd spend 25 dollars or so and get a free kit with lots of goodies. Good luck.
go to walmart, and get the mary-kate and ashley olsen make up. it is not that expensive and it works good. i am 21 i sell mary-kay products but that can be expensive so i still buy make up from the store. i love there eyeliner. if you are buy making that looks fairly expensive to inpress your friends. because they are giving you a hard time. then they are not really friends. you need to get what works for you. you may be allergic to the more expensive stuff. i know i am that way on jewelry i can't where basically anything but walmart cheap jewelry
It's not cheap, but the makeup by Bare Minerals is very good. It doesn't take very much to ';do'; your face and it gives a nice, clear appearance without being overdone.

The ladies at Sephora (one of the places that sell it) will also show you how to use the makeup properly for free.

DO NOT get nyc. Its horrible. And even I like getting cheap stuff. I would say get some Rimmel eyeliner and coverup and some Maybelline eyeshadow. Also get some Maybelline mascara, the stuff in the green bottle! Get Mary Kate and Ashley lipgloss.

Good Luck!
any make-up is good as long as it's firm and smooth to touch...

also for your age..try natural tones or pastel hues....it depends on your skin color though...and your lifestyle..
It's not which makeups you buy...it's how you apply them. Cover Girl makeups are cheap...but the models look good because their makeups are done by professionals using Cover Girl products.
you don't need a lot since your skin is still young. it will make you look way older (and i mean it in a bad way) if you overuse or misuse makeup.

what you'll need are the following:

*tinted moisturizer with spf so that you are moisturizing your sking, evening out the tone and protecting it at the same time. you should try nivea and neutrogena. they have gentle products and are not expensive.

*cheek tint since you are still young its best to preserve your natural look and play it off with a natural cheek color that will enhance the apples of your cheeks like you were under the sun for a while. you can try body shop lip and cheek tint/stain. it does double duty and looks super natural on any skin type.

*an eyelash curler which is available at any beauty supply and drug store. they open up your eyes immediately and it totally makes a difference especially if you have thick long lashes. even if you don't its really cool to curl your lashes. look for the metal ones as they curl more naturally. the plastic ones make a fold instead of a curl.

*an all around shimmer powder or dust in a pink/bronze/coral tone. you can use this for your eyes or cheeks as well as on your body for a sunkissed look.

*clear gloss - l'oreal and maybeline have these readily available.

*lip balm - try lipsmackers, they come scented and flavored and are dirt cheap. really good for plain everyday looks. some have color too. use clear lip balm as a base for lip gloss.

*black mascara - maybelline and covergirl make good mascaras, this makes your lashes look thicker and longer.

*concealer in 2 shades lighter than your skin tone to cover up zits and under eye circles-try maybelline 3-in-1 or covergirls concealer too.

*face powder so that you can set your makeup and retouch your base.try neutrogena, l'oreal and maybelline.

basic daily makeup:

lip balm

special occassion makeup:

lip tint (it is a stain so it is non greasy)

the best thing to consider is the technique over the brand name. learn how to apply makeup properly and effectively so that you can make any brand look good on you. you can also make use of different brushes when you start building a bigger collection.
There is a makeup brand called E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face) and each product is one dollar! Yup, $1. They sell everything, foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, lip gloss, everything. They also have a website...eyeslipsface.com. Check it out!
covergirl is the best!!! u'll love their mascara's w/ rubber wands, they give no clumps, they have pretty good lip stuff and so on. also maybelline has good and cheap eyeliners.

but i warn u DO NOT use wet'n'wild!!!! they lip glosses dry ur lips out and i heard that theres sum poisonous engredient in their mascaras.
wet n wild,n.y.c,cover girl
Make up is not cheap you pay for what you get you don't want to buy real cheap make up it will mess up your face Avon is the best one I can think of good luck.
