Is cheap make-up ever as good as expensive?

Also, can you tell by looking at someone if she is wearing cheap or expensive make-up?Is cheap make-up ever as good as expensive?
Mineral make-up is the best to wear. Looks natural on your face.

Cheap or expensive they are basically the same. As anything else in this world, You get what you pay for. You can't really tell is someone is wearing cheap or expensive. Is cheap make-up ever as good as expensive?
Some cheap make up certainly can be as good as the expensive make up, but it very rarely is. And as for wether you can tell if someone if wearing cheap or expensive makeup, I feel it depends on the person putting on the makeup.
Cheap makeup has to be cheap for a reason. These brands advertise as much or even more than department store brands so they aren't saving money on that. It has to be in the product quality. I have found, drugstore brand foundations are made with cheap materials that are harder on the skin. (trust me, I have worked as a R%26amp;D formulations tech for a chemical compay developing products for cosmetic companies) They tend to be streaky and far to pink for most women. The shadows can be ok, but don't expect them to last all day and they aren't going to look the same on the eye as they do in the pot. Most department store brands spend alot of money researching the best ingredients and invest more time in formulations which means better makeup for you skin. They also put more pigments and less fillers/binders into their makeup and that means better saturation of color and a longer lasting product. They also offer a more limited selection of products, if you need something special or specific they might not have it.

Overall, I would skip store brands for foundation, concealer and powder. These items are more obvioius when you cheap out and you want to use something better for your skin. You can use store brand blush and shadows if you are prepared to use shadow primer and deal with creasing and feathering throughout the day. Some people don't care about this and have great results. It is less obvious in this area.
It really depends on the product and how well you apply it. There CAN be a difference, but probably not so much in mascara as in foundation, for instance. I highly recommend the book Color Stories, that describes which brands all manufacture at the same plant, etc.
Depends on the brand cheap make up can be just as a good as expensie make up. Although expensive make up is most of the time better. Things like cheap lipstick tend to stain better although they would not last as long as expensive lipstick. Certain things I would get cheap, but over all get the good stuff.
nahh depends how good the person is at actually putting it on etc...
It is not always what you spend on your makeup; it is about the performance of your makeup. I get a lot of compliments on my skin and I don't spend what I used to to get the same flawless look. ( I use kms mineral essentials.) I also think you can't tell if someone is wearing cheap or expensive makeup. It is all about the application. If the wearer does not apply it right, it is going to look terrible no matter how much she spent. :)
In most cases the cheaper make-up brands use the same ingredients as more expensive ones.

I don't think you can tell at all.
Marcelle is hypoallergenic, excellent quality, and it's reasonably priced.
